St. Vincent de Paul Cars for a Cause         (Community)

St. Vincent de Paul's Cars for a Cause Program accepts cars, trucks, motorcycles, RV's, boats and more. All proceeds from the sale of vehicles and recycled materials benefit St. Vinnie's charitable programs, including emergency assistance and shelter, and affordable housing. The program is located at 1175 Hwy 99N in Eugene. Hours are Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information call 541-607-4541.

Dan Holt Videos         (Community, Education & History, Health & Wellness, Religious)

CGTV programs produced by local videographer Dan Holt( formerly aired on South Lane Television) can now be viewed online. Holt has now uploaded videos to YouTube which are available anytime on demand for free. A high speed Internet connection is required for computers and smart TVs to view the programs. The videos feature travel, concerts and health topics. St Vincent de Paul Assistance         (Community)

If you own or are buying your home and land and need help with home repairs, St. Vinnie’s may be able to help. You may qualify for a 3 percent interest, no monthly payment loan offered by the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Lane County. Assistance is available for roofs, foundations, dry rot, plumbing, electrical, heating systems, windows and doors, insulation, siding, paint and much more. CG Habitat for Humanity ReStore         (Sales, Community)

The Cottage Grove Area Habitat for Humanity raises money for its projects with through its ReStore to support the work of the local Habitat for Humanity chapter.  The ReStore is open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Donations are always welcome and volunteers are needed. The Habitat Office and Warehouse is located at 2155 Getty Circle, Unit #1 in the City Industrial Park on Hwy 99. Call 541.767.0358 for more information.

Cottage Grove Hospital Auxiliary         (Community)

The Cottage Grove Hospital Auxiliary seeks community volunteers to staff the front desk and greet visitors, to help raise money to purchase much needed medical equipment for the hospital and clinic, and to participate in monthly social gatherings.

Sunday Supper/Soup's On         (Food)

A free community meal is served on Sundays from 5-6 p.m. at the Cottage Grove Community Center at 700 E. Gibbs Ave. The meal is sponsored by service organizations and many caring area residents.

Monday

Campus Life Club         (Youth, Religious)

The Cottage Grove Campus Life Club is a non-denominational Christian youth outreach program for Middle & High School students. Meets during the school year.

Mondays 7 pm: High School Group meets in the game room above Domino's Pizza (next to CG Post Office).

Tuesdays 7 pm Middle School Group meets at Riverside Community Church, 1255 S. River Rd.

Club meetings blend food, music, games and a short Bible-based talk that ends with prayer. For more information call CG Campus Life Director Tim Sinclair at 541-285-4812.

Caregiving Support Group         (Community)

The Caregiving Network of Cottage Grove meets on the FIRST Monday of each month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cottage Grove Bible Church, 1200 E. Quincy Ave. It's potluck lunch, often with a guest speaker. All meetings are free and open to the public. For more information call 541-942-3108.

Methodist Community Dinner         (Food)

Enjoy the Cottage Grove United Methodist Church's community dinner on the Second and Third Monday night of each month from 5-6 p.m. [except holiday weekends]

The full-course meal includes soup or salad, entree, side dishes and dessert. Adults $5  Kids 12 and younger eat for free.

Cottage Grove 912 Project         (Politics)

An outreach ministry designed to support mothers and help them be the best moms they can be. MOPS is for mothers with children from birth to kindergarten. MomsNext for mothers with school age children also meet at this time.

The Cottage Grove Garden Club invites new members to join the club. It meets on the FIRST TUESDAY of each month at 6 p.m. at the CG First Presbyterian Church on Third and Adams. Meet fellow gardeners, learn new skills, hear informational speakers and share knowledge and experience.

A Veterans Support Group meets every Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Healing Matrix, 632 Main St. Representatives and caseworkers from the VA are available once a month to help veterans connect to resources and benefits.

Chi Gong classes are held every Monday and Wednesday at the Healing Matrix. There is a $5 suggested donation for each class. The Healing Matrix is on the corner of Main and Seventh in the Historic Downtown District.

Middlefield Ladies Golf Club         (Community, Exercise)

The Middlefield Ladies Golf Club meets Wednesdays at 8:30 am with golf at 9:00 am.  There is a 9-hole group and an 18 hole group.  Ladies can play free on their first visit.  For more information call Phyllis Gowling at 942-9665.

The Closet at 6th & Gibbs is open on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Hosted by the Church of Christ 6th & Gibbs and the Lane Pregnancy Support Center the program offer diapers, maternity and baby clothes.
